# Import a recorded meeting file

> Import an audio or video file of a meeting, such as a Zoom cloud recording or a Google Meet recording, and transcribe it by speaker.

You can import a meeting file recorded elsewhere, such as a Zoom cloud recording or a Google Meet recording, and transcribe it by speaker. For a meeting you joined in the Zoom app, you can import its recording file.

## Before you begin

- You need the service **Meeting notes** and your organization's dedicated storage (see "Before you begin" in [Record a meeting and transcribe it](/docs/en/meetings/record-a-meeting/)).
- Only people with the Member role or higher can import.

## Files you can import

| Item | Details |
| --- | --- |
| Format | MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP4, WebM |

## Steps

1. On the Meeting notes screen, select **Import a file**.
2. Drop the file, or select **Choose a file** and pick it.
