Connect your LINE Official Account to mukumo with the “Channel ID” and “Channel secret” of its Messaging API channel. You don’t need to issue a long-lived channel access token. Once connected, you can reply from the inbox, send broadcasts, run scenario messages, use rich menus, take event bookings and more from mukumo.
Before you begin
- An owner or admin of the organization does this.
- Create a LINE Official Account and enable Messaging API in LINE Official Account Manager first. This creates its Messaging API channel; you then configure the channel in LINE Developers.
- Your organization needs dedicated storage. If you have already added a service that sets it up automatically, such as Boards or Task management, you can use that storage. If setup is incomplete and Set it up is shown, an owner or admin can select it. If the screen asks you to contact the operator instead, contact support.
1. Get ready in LINE Developers
- Open the Messaging API channel created for your Official Account in LINE Developers.
- Note the “Channel ID” and “Channel secret” in “Basic settings”.
- In “Messaging API”, click “Edit” under “Auto-reply messages”. This opens LINE Official Account Manager, where you turn off auto-reply messages.
Don’t paste the channel secret into chats or emails.
2. Connect in mukumo
- Click More in the icon column on the left, open Add a service, and click Add for LINE management.
- On the LINE management page, enter the Channel ID and Channel secret, then click Connect.
- mukumo checks the Official Account and sets the webhook URL on LINE.
- Return to “Messaging API” in LINE Developers. Click “Verify” under “Webhook URL” and confirm that it succeeds, then turn on “Use webhook”.
- If the webhook currently points to another service, mukumo asks Switch the webhook here? Click Switch and connect, and the other service stops receiving messages.
- To connect more accounts, open Manage accounts and click Add account.
- You can connect the same Official Account to only one organization.
When you connect with the channel ID, mukumo gets a token from LINE that lasts 15 minutes each time it sends. To use a long-lived token you already issued, click Connect with a long-lived channel access token and enter the Channel secret and Channel access token (long-lived). Neither is shown again after you save it.
3. Check that it works
- Add the Official Account as a friend and send it a message.
- If the message shows up in the inbox, the connection works.
- In Manage accounts, click Check now and make sure the account status shows Working. The number of messages you can still send this month also appears.
mukumo checks the account status every 30 minutes on its own.
4. Set up a LINE MINI App
To let friends open form, entry route and event booking pages inside LINE, you need a LINE MINI App (LIFF). You don’t need it for replies and broadcasts alone.
- In LINE Developers, create a “LINE MINI App” channel under the same provider as this Official Account. It comes with Developing, Review and Published internal channels.
- In Manage accounts, open LINE MINI App for the connected account and copy the Endpoint URL.
- In LINE Developers, paste it as the endpoint URL in “Web app settings” (the same for all three internal channels). Choose the openid and profile scopes.
- Turn on the “Add friend option” and link this Official Account.
- Enter the Published internal channel’s “Channel ID” and “LIFF ID” in mukumo’s MINI App channel ID (Published) and MINI App LIFF ID (Published), then click Save.
When LINE MINI App is ready appears, you’re done. An unverified MINI App works without waiting for LINE’s review.
