mukumo Partners lets you introduce mukumo on your blog, social accounts or client work and receive part of the monthly fees that the referred organizations pay. Our team reviews each application, and once you are approved you get your referral link.
Rewards are paid in Japanese yen to a bank account in Japan.
Apply
- Sign in to mukumo and select Open the partner page in Settings > Referrals.
- Choose whether you are applying as an individual or a company, and enter your name (company name for companies), the sites or social accounts you will use, and how you will introduce mukumo. If you are a registered qualified invoice issuer, enter your registration number.
- Read the partner terms, agree to them, and select Apply.
We email you the result. When you are approved, your referral link appears on the partner page. If your application is not approved, the reason is shown, and you can update your details and apply again.
Rules for introducing mukumo
- Mark your articles and posts as advertising, for example with “Ad” or “PR”. This follows Japan’s rules on stealth marketing.
- You cannot refer yourself, your own company, or an organization you control.
- You cannot bid on search ads for terms that include the mukumo name, introduce mukumo by bulk messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or describe mukumo inaccurately.
Referrals that break these rules may not earn rewards. See the partner terms for details.

Payouts
- At the end of each month, we total the rewards that became final by the last day of that month. If the total is ¥5,000 or more, we transfer it to your registered bank account by the end of the following month.
- Amounts under ¥5,000 carry over to the next month.
- mukumo pays the transfer fee.
- We email you when we transfer.
Register a bank account
- On the partner page, under Bank account, select Add a bank account.
- Enter the bank name, bank code (4 digits), branch name, branch code (3 digits), account type, account number, and the account holder name in katakana.
- Select Save.
- Enter the holder name exactly as the katakana name on your passbook. Transfers fail if the name differs. Full-width katakana and hiragana are saved as half-width katakana, and the page shows the name used for transfers below the field.
- For Japan Post Bank, enter the 3-digit branch and 7-digit account number used for transfers.
- The account number is stored encrypted, and the page shows only its last 3 digits.
- A changed bank account is used from the next monthly close.
- If rewards become final while you have no bank account, we email you and carry them over to the next month.
Payment statements
Under Payouts on the partner page, open Statement for each payout. A statement shows the transfer date, the bank account, the amount paid (including tax), the consumption tax included, and the breakdown, and you can print it. If you have registered a registration number, the statement serves as a purchase statement under Japan’s Consumption Tax Act. If anything is wrong, please tell us within 30 days of the statement.
If a transfer fails
If a transfer fails, for example because the holder name differs, we email you the reason and return the rewards to awaiting payout. Check and correct your bank account, and we transfer them at the next monthly close.
You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on your rewards.
